Hatsu –

Quietly hidden in Hotel Royal at Newton, Hatsu is a new Japanese joint that offers both lunch and dinner omakase sets! In spite of their location, this hidden gem is quickly growing in popularity for their fresh seasonal seafood dishes.

Their lunch omakase sets start from $90 with their Hanami set, and includes 7 pieces of fine nigiri, a appetiser, maki, a soup and a dessert. If you’re planning a dinner date instead, their omakase options include the Hatsu ($250) and the Grand Hatsu ($320). The Grand Hatsu set features some wagyu sukiyaki, so be sure to check that out if you’re a fan!

Located in Scotts Square in the heart of Orchard, Kakushin presents an intimate dining affair with an exquisite omakase experience you won’t forget. Their dinner omakase set is priced at $328 per person, and features their signature Chargrilled A5 Kagoshima Wagyu as part of the mains.

Not in the mood for omakase? Kakushin has an ala carte menu as well! Their must-try items include their Kakushin Wagyu Sando ($48), as well as the Sous Vide Kagoshima Beef Short Rib ($120).
